Garlic and Thyme Ribeye Steak Marinade
This recipe is for a grilled ribeye steak that is sure to please. Serve with a baked potato and some muchrooms and onions, and you will have a delicious meal.
- Ribeye steaks
- 6 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of fresh thyme leaves
- 1/2 cup of red wine
- Salt and pepper
1 Smash and coarsely chop the garlic cloves.
2 Combine the garlic, oil, red wine, and thyme in a bowl; add the steaks, and turn to coat both sides. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, turning the steaks occasionally.
3 Oil the grates lightly, and then heat the grill to medium high.
4 Remove the steaks from the marinade, and let the excess drip off. Discard the marinade.
5 Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Cut each steak in half, and grill them until they are done to your liking. Allow about 12 to 16 minutes for medium rare.
